British Martindale Panga Machete No. 1820 Crocodile

Old Martindale machete, Panga design. The company has been around since 1869, registered in 1874, still in business today. Machetes like this were used in World War II, though I can't see if there are any military markings so I will assume this is a civilian model unless someone with more knowledge can tell me otherwise. Has a carbon steel blade with grooves on both sides, two solid wood handles attached to full tang with steel rivets. It has been used and sharpened, is sharp enough to use now. Has seen rust and pitting, nothing deep or affecting usefulness, but has made it hard to see markings. Pictures show condition better than I can describe it. Stamped "MARTINDALE / BIRMINGHAM/ MADE IN / ENGLAND" then an image of the company's trademark crocodile (not an alligator, as most describe it) with "REGISTERED" below that, and after that at a right angle, "No. 1820." Measures 29" overall, 14" from tip to handles.
