    These knives are dishwasher safe, however, you should not put expensive knives in the dishwasher because it will eventually ruin them. You should hand wash and dry them before putting them away because dishwasher will dull the blades, even though these are self-sharpening. The real issue is that the handle will absorb moisture and will cause the steel blades to rust, especially where the steel meets the handle. If you are going to spend this kind of money on a great set like this, then you should be willing to hand wash them. I gave a set of these to my daughter for Christmas last year and paid way more than the price you see here.
