We
turn Iron Maiden albums into football shirts! The model The Number Of
The Beast was inspired by the cover of the album of the same name,
released by the band in 1982. The shirt highlights part of the original
illustration by Derek Riggs for the work that marked Bruce Dickinson's
Maiden debut.
Developed and approved together with Iron
Maiden, the band's line of official football shirts were produced with
the same quality and technology as the shirts used by major clubs around
the world.
The main feature of The Number Of The Beast model
is the division of the shirt into two colors: on one side it is gray,
on the other, black. In the darkest part, Eddie appears on the cover of
the album, with flames of fire in his hands. At the bottom of the
shirt appear the flames of the original illustration, which would be
purgatory. The embroidered shield features the face of the band's
mascot in prominence, with the same feature as the main feature image of
The Number Of The Beast with the inscription “Maiden FC”, making a
reference that we turn each Iron Maiden studio album into a team.
Despite the dark tones, the red color, present in Riggs' illustration,
is also present in the model: on the black collar, on the cuffs of the
sleeves and also on the bands in micro-perforated fabric sewn on the
sides of The Number Of The Beast. The band's name is applied in
thermo-adhesive adhesive, with the same font used in the English brand,
and follows the tones present on the original cover.
On the
back of the shirt, there is the duality of gray and black colors, as on
the front of the model. Eddie appears with an ax, high on a rock,
dueling the crossbow and its trident. Number 82, corresponding to the
year of the album's release, is applied on a red and white sticker. The
inscription “The Number Of The Beast”, referencing the inspiration
album, is sublimated at the nape of the neck.
The official
product seal completes the model - rubberized in polyurethane - applied
on the front, along the hem of the shirt, certifying that the fan is
purchasing an original and exclusive product, licensed and approved by
Iron Maiden itself.
