    Description

    This is a rare original  WW1 era machete/bolo type knife. This measures 19-1/2in. long and is very heavy. Has wood handles with brass cap on the handle butt. Marked on one side "PLUMB - PHILA., 1917 with Ordnance mark:. On the other side it is marked "U.S., 46690". When I was a youngster I was with my older brother who bought this out of a WW2 military surplus tent in Columbus, Ohio in the late 1940's. This looks brand new and appears to never have been issued or used. No sign of sharpening, has some light blade tarnish from age. a great blade. Feel free to ask any questions. No sheath is included.
